who we are.
meet dhpro.
DHPro (short for Dakota Hurley Productions) is a full service recording studio and audio visual consulting company, helping artists, churches, and venues put their best foot forward.
Founded in 2021, after a long year of lockdowns, church live streams and no live events, Founder Dakota Hurley felt the calling to share some of the knowledge he'd gained while navigating a pandemic. At DHPro it is our core belief that everything we do should be done to the best of our ability--whether that be recording a song, or installing lights in a theater. We see corners cut, we see things installed incorrectly, we see safety concerns and shows that could've been better if the crew cared more, and we want to help people be the difference. In a post-pandemic, social media crazed world, we have no chance to survive by doing anything but our very best. |
meet Dakota Hurley.

Dakota Hurley is the CEO and Creative Director of DHPro.
Dakota is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, audio engineer, lighting designer, and videographer.
He started playing music at 7 years old after being given his first guitar by his grandfather. Through the years Dakota has played in many church, blues, jazz, country and rock bands. Now his instrument list includes electric and acoustic guitars, bass guitar, drums, percussion, piano, organ, and pedal steel guitar.
Dakota graduated from Seminole High School in Sanford, FL where he was a member of the jazz band and learned much of his music theory knowledge. Outside of school Dakota lead a few of his own bands, played for other in theirs, as well as participated in both the youth and adult worship teams at his church.
Dakota served in the United States Air Force as a Nuclear Missile Maintenance Technician. He was stationed in Cheyenne, WY where he continued his pursuit of music--playing in a country band, and running sound at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. At 19 years old he managed the Local Entertainment Stage and all of its production, and served as a crew member for the National Acts stage where he mixed front of house for artists such as Keith Urban, Big & Rich, Aerosmith and more.
After the service Dakota re-entered the Orlando music scene heading a country band of his own, under the namesake Dakota Hurley. Dakota still plays and releases music with his own publishing from time to time, and plays as a session musician and hired-gun for other artists and bands around the country.
In 2018 Dakota graduated from F.I.R.S.T. Institute with a degree in Recording Arts and Show Production. He received honors for a 4.0 GPA, and for highest number of intern hours--over 1000 hours over the course of 1 year. Although not officially educated until then, he has been recording and mixing music since the age of 14. To date he has recorded, composed, played on, mixed and mastered over 200 records for artists of many genres--including rock, blues, punk, hip hop, country, and contemporary Christian.
Dakota currently serves as the Worship Leader and Creative Director at G3 Church in Sanford, FL. Overseeing, implementing and operating every aspect of G3's A/V and media production gives him current and ever-changing insight into the world of church A/V and live streaming.
Dakota Hurley Productions was founded in 2021, combining Dakota's passion for Studio Recording, Music, and Audio Visual.
